HOW TO CHANGE FILE EXTENSIONS:

If you can't change the extension of a file by right clicking on the file and going to properties, then try this way. Its a little primitive but it works.

1- Download and install a compression program if you don't already have one Ex: WinRar or  WinZip. I will be using WinRAR this time. Note: WinRAR is a free software, you can download it here.

2- Once you have WinRAR installed, right click on the file you want to change the extension, and choose "add to archive..." or "add to examplefile.rar"

3- Click OK

4- Once you have the file compressed (examplefile.rar) you will need to open the compressed file and you will notice that you can see the extension.

5- Now click on the file and type the new extension.

6- Drag the file to your desktop or click on "extract to"

7- Your file will be extracted and will have the new extension.

You can rename multiple files if you choose a folder instead of a single file. Also, you can drag files inside WinRAR and rename them, then just drag them out and they will have the new extension.
